The Austrian-Hungarian army has built some of the most -if not THE most!- sophisticated and modern fortifications of their time. In countries like Poland, Italy, Serbia, Hungary, etc. we can still find fine examples of their fortifications.

The book is a detailed description of the history, architecture, armament, armour and tactics of the Austrian-Hungarian fortifications. It is written in German entirely and illustrated with HUNDREDS of photos, drawings, plans and maps.

A major part of the book is dedicated to the Austrian-Hungarian artillery-materiel of these days - lavishly illustrated with photos and (technical) drawings. THE reference work on this type of fortification(s)!!
