Description

Fascinating book about the deployment of the V1 - "Flying Bomb" at the end of World War Two from the Eifel-region in Germany.

The book contains much information about this complicated weapon itself - but also on the launching sites (then and now), chrashes and targets. These V1's were fired by the III. Abteilung of Flakregiment 155 (W) from the Eifel, the Westerwald and Bergischen Land. About 5600 V1's were launched, aimed at Antwerp mostly.

The book tells the history of this weapon, but also guides the reader to places of interest that can still be found in the region. A book for specialists - written in German entirely and illustrated with HUNDREDS of photos, drawings, plans and maps.
