A MUST HAVE for artillery-fans!! This book is about the artillery used by the K.u.k. Festungsartillerie - the Austrian-Hungarian Fortress Artillery. The first 60 pages or so are about the uniforms, distinctives and equipment of the K.u.k. From the 6 cm casemate gun to the 42 cm howitzer: you will find them ALL in this book, often illustrated with detailed technical drawings and/or photos!! Canons, cupolas, carriages, turrets, ammunition - the book has it all. This is THE book to have on the subject - written in Polish entirely - but with a German summary. The book is illustrated with more than 250 photos, drawings, plans and documents. FANTASTIC BOOK for artillery as well as fortifications-fans!! |
