Published in 1939, this book describes the history of the "Fortress Rendsburg". The town is situated in the north of Germany in Schleswich Holstein. Built around a castle that was mentioned for the first time in 1199. Because of its strategical important position, the towndefences were adapted and modernized continuously until the 19th century, when many of the walls and bastions were demolished.

This book describes the evolution and development of the fortifications in great detail. But it also describes the wars and sieges in which Rendsburg played a role of importance.  It is written in German entirely and illustrated with 92 photos, drawings, plans and maps. The book is quite rare and in GOOD shape.
