German Artillery 1934-1945. A documentary in tekst, drawings and photos.
Author: Engelmann, Joachim & Scheibert, Horst

Language: German

Probably the best book available on the organisation and structure of the German artillery in World War Two.

Description

This is - although published more than 30 years ago! - probably still the best book about the German artillery-weapon in World War Two. It is NOT a book for hardware and weapons-specialists, but it describes the organisation, structure, education, command and deployment of the German artillery.

The book describes battles in World War Two in which the German artillery played an important role - for instance Warsaw 1939 - Aisne 1940 - Brest Litowsk 1941 - Tobruk 1942 - Sewastopol 1942 - Stalingrad 1942 - Leningrad 1943 - Kuban 1943 - Kursk 1943 - Orel 1943 - Heeresgruppe Mitte 1944 - Ardennes 1944 - Berlin 1945. Of course, the book also pays attention to the use of artillery in the Atlantic Wall.

The book is written in German and is illustrated with HUNDREDS of photos, drawings, schemes and maps.  A RARE book!
